Playlists (and their predecessor, mixed CDs) are my love language. I enjoy the act of curating a distinct feeling, a certain vibe, a particular era or time of my life. This is the first summer playlist I have made since 2019, and it felt good to pick this tradition back up.
The perfect summer playlist aims for a vibe of Perks of Being a Wallflower And-in-that-moment-I-swear-we-were-infinite. It is completely of the moment with hints of nostalgia. It’s a late night out with friends and beach days and cheesy top-40 songs. It’s both how I feel and how I want to feel, in the summer.
I hope it resonates, literally and figuratively.

Juvenile’s tiny desk concert. I watched it during work and got so caught up I sent a link to my boss recommending she watch it. Thankfully she was also a fan. 🎤
OK Go’s new music video featuring a 0.5 mile long Rube Goldberg machine. Also, I forgot that Rube Goldberg machines are rad. 🎈
